The Congregation of the Sisters of Nazareth (CSN) is a Catholic Religious Institute for women founded in 1948. The general aim of the programmers undertaken by theSisters of Nazareth is the empowerment of women spiritual, social, intellectual and economical. This is achieved through orientation programs, publication of magazines and books, training women in cottage industries and farming, teaching Home Science, conducting Refuge Homes for needy women, poor and abandoned children, Primary Health Centers, and unaided LP and UP Schools in various parts of Kerala and other states of India. Even while these institutions are open to all people irrespective of caste or creed, they have a special right as well as a duty to serve in a special manner, the members of the community.
