Morning Star Home Science College Angamaly is a first grade college affiliated to
Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.The College had a very humble beginning
in 1963 with a two year Diploma course in Home Science. The Sisters of Nazareth who
established this College have the great mission of empowering women to be efficient
and effective home makers and nation builders.

A self financing B.Sc. Degree course in Home Science was started in 1968 affiliated
to Kerala University. When Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam was established
in 1983, the college came under the jurisdiction of this university.
The diploma courses in Home Science continues in another institute (Nazareth Home
Science Institute)under the same management .Morning Star Home Science college
has earned reputation as a place of learning as well as a training centre
for selfless service experiencing warm community life. The motto of the college,
'LEARN TO SERVE, SERVE WITH LOVE,' is practiced in the curricular and co-curricular
activities of the college.

Every student of the college should strive sincerely to keep up the noble tradition
of the college by pursuing their studies diligently and learning the art of selfless service
persistently.
